Florals for spring? Groundbreaking. Ok so Miranda Priestly might not approve, but Buckets & Bums sure as hell do!

This perfectly mismatched bucket hat isn’t just any kind of herbaceous headwear. Every single panel features a different floral fabric. Meaning this is a completely one of a kind flowery bucket hat. Absolutely no-one else will have one the same as you!

All of the fabrics on offer have amazing back stories;

Quilting Quesnelia

One of my family members Flo; she’s in her 90s nowbut use to be a total quilting queen. Its so special for me to be able to use the fabric she once used in her own projects. It extends their life and gives them the wear they deserve.

Vintage Violets

A friend’s mum gifted me some gorgeous floral fabrics which wouldn’t have looked out of place in any home in the 1990s. In fact I swear my mum had curtains in one of the exact fabrics! The large print of these fabrics sublimely contrasts against the smaller petal patterns.

Modern Mimosa

Tate from Gravitate Clothing kindly sent me a whole bundle of off cuts from her amazing floral skirts. She knows I hate waste and has helped prolong the life of the scraps.

Charity shop Camellia

The rest of the fabric my mum donated. She loves a rummage in the charity shops and always finds me some gems.

As you can tell this is probably be one of the coolest (and possibly most sustainable) bucket hats I’ve made because every piece of fabric has come from somewhere different.
